This name may not mean anything to you, but it is a vestige of the passing of time.
It is an exceptional monument that we invite you to visit.
A remnant of the past that reminds us how our ancestors lived.

For this ½ day, you can take the time to enjoy your breakfast and quietly prepare.
The ideal departure time is between 9:30 and 10:00.
It takes about 38 minutes to drive to the castle of Dampierre sur Boutonne.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll have an unobstructed view of this 16th-century Renaissance gem .
In the footsteps of François I and Louis XIII, discover this sumptuous building.

Practical information :

In high season the castle is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm.
You can visit the castle freely and wander from room to room.
Nevertheless, we advise you to opt for a guided tour.
The plus : the guide can give you some anecdotes about the castle.

Rates :

  • 11 euros for adults
  • 6 euros for children under 18, PMR, job seekers, students

During this visit, you will discover the salons, the rooms and the stables.
All rooms are furnished with period furniture. You will be totally immersed in this period so far away.
If you have your k-way with you, you can take a quick tour of the gardens. Otherwise, you can see them from the top of the balconies.
